I am grateful for friends, both present and those now gone.
The EYG boys helped in the creation of this site. We had big plans when we decided that we were going to embrace our geekness, but that did not quite come to fruition. Of course, I have continued to work the site and I love it.
Fact is that they are the EYG boys and, though I do not see them as much as I would like to, they are my friends and I am grateful for their parts in my life.
This is always one of my favorite times of the year around EYG because it is very busy and there are a lot of newness. A Thanksgiving tradition. The Turkey Drop is one of the best half hours of television ever, and certainly right at the top of the Thanksgiving moments. I laugh every time I watch it.
Food. Family. Friends.
Lots to be thankful for…
Debuting today… street level action with the two greatest archers in the MCU.
Looking forward to the Get Back documentary this Thanksgiving with Peter Jackson’s direction.
EYG Hall of Famer and musical genius, “Weird Al” Yankovic does not look to fall into that category, but he absolutely does. His attention to details and streak of perfectionism creates some of the best music out there. There is a reason why other performers say that you know you have made it when Weird Al parodies one of your songs.
One of the best comics on the market today. The first issue created a sensation in the industry that carried it through to a sequel series. I am also grateful for Ben at ComicWorld making me read this. This helped create a renaissance for me in independent comics.
It is a shame more people do not know who Groo the Wanderer is. A creation from EYG Hall of Famer Sergio Aragonés, Groo is just finished a comic crossover with Tarzan.
Did I err?
This was actually last month… but I love it anyway.
I love the reactors on YouTube. I spend a lot of time watching their reviews, reactions, riffs and all around fun content. From The Geek Buddies to pReview’d, the Reel Rejects to Settle the Score, the Schmoedown to John Campea, Dan Murrell to Jeremy Jahns… YouTube provides a great forum for me to see these entertaining and engaging personalities. It may not be perfect for the content producers, but I am grateful to have their skills at my fingertips.
EYG Hall of Fame food, PIZZA!!!!
I love pizza. I could eat it constantly. But only with meat and cheese. None of that horrible stuff like pineapple or fungus or green things.
Canadian Bacon! Pepperoni! Some sausage. Ham! Bacon! Beef!
That’s what I want. YUM!
When he died, it hit me hard. I loved Robin Williams from when I was a kid watching Mork and Mindy. There was never anyone like him and never will be again.
