The Adventurers of Saturn
By: Betty Pearl
(Part One)
Saturn I will go ,
Saturn I could call home.
The greatness I know will come,
Covers boredom, that is dumb.
The effort I put into this travel,
Feels like you’re a bike on gravel.
To see the treasure of it’s beautiful rings,
Is too big of a measure for me.
The endless darkness is much to fright,
Through the endless darkness I take flight.
Jogging meteors everywhere I go,
I look at the Earth as it glows,
Wishing I could be back home.
Don’t let me forget about the different days,
Is it ten o’clock or time to hit the hay?
I was ready to land
On that yellow planet,
With amazing rings,
Named Saturn.
(Part Two)
What is that,
Could it be,
Someone tall and green, just like me?
Their ship was large, steel, and green.
To be honest,
They were making a scene.
Are they here to stay,
Or just here for the day?
Should I be afraid,
Or not scared at all?
For all I know,|?
This could be a ball!
As they approach,
I greet them well.
The smelled like roach,
But they were swell.
Then I realize that they are human.
Do they need help,
Or am I just stupid?
Should I be confused,
Or ready to fight?
What do they want?
Peace from Earth,
Or war on Saturn.
