I don’t understand what folks see in these Avatar films, even as pretty pictures they are no longer groundbreaking. Narratively they have never been enthralling or the characters even interesting. I just don’t get it. The first one, sure, a technical marvel with the gee-whiz 3D to boot, but beyond that?

I’ve never been a big fan of the Avatar films either. I liked the second one more than the first. They are a marvel to look at though.
