EYG Hall of Famer and musical genius, “Weird Al” Yankovic does not look to fall into that category, but he absolutely does. His attention to details and streak of perfectionism creates some of the best music out there. There is a reason why other performers say that you know you have made it when Weird Al parodies one of your songs.

One of the best comics on the market today. The first issue created a sensation in the industry that carried it through to a sequel series. I am also grateful for Ben at ComicWorld making me read this. This helped create a renaissance for me in independent comics.

I love the reactors on YouTube. I spend a lot of time watching their reviews, reactions, riffs and all around fun content. From The Geek Buddies to pReview’d, the Reel Rejects to Settle the Score, the Schmoedown to John Campea, Dan Murrell to Jeremy Jahns… YouTube provides a great forum for me to see these entertaining and engaging personalities. It may not be perfect for the content producers, but I am grateful to have their skills at my fingertips.

EYG Hall of Fame food, PIZZA!!!!

I love pizza. I could eat it constantly. But only with meat and cheese. None of that horrible stuff like pineapple or fungus or green things.

Canadian Bacon! Pepperoni! Some sausage. Ham! Bacon! Beef!

That’s what I want. YUM!

The Movie Trivia Schmoedown is so much fun. It is a combination of movie trivia and showmanship like the WWE.

Created by Kristian Harloff and Mark Ellis, the Schmoedown has been around for 8 seasons, increasing every year.

Current champion is Marisol McKee.

Wednesday is new comic book day and I go to get my pull list the same place that I went back when I started buying comics in the 5th grade. Sure, it has different owners and several locations since, but ComicWorld has survived in Dubuque since 1973. And I love spending time at the shop reading comics and talking with the awesome staff, affable owner Ben, comic aficionado Todd and super friendly Pat. Three great guys.
