Captain America: Brave New World trailer#1

After people expecting the trailer to Captain America: Brave New World to drop yesterday, Marvel instead dropped it today, and it looks great.

What blew my mind was the glimpse of Red Hulk that we got at the very end of the trailer because I know there was a lot of speculation about the possibility of Red Hulk because Harrison Ford was now playing Thunderbolt Ross, replacing the late William Hurt, but I really did not think they were going to go there. But they did.

The trailer has a definite Winter Soldier type tone to it. The beating music keeping you on edge as you might be in a spy thriller of some kind. Isiah Bradley making a return from his role in Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney + series. Giancarlo Esposito popping up with his mystery character (which some are guessing to be G.W. Bridge).

There was just a load in the trailer and it definitely looks promising. Captain America: Brave New World comes out n February 2025.

Gladiator II Trailer

I did not know that Denzel Washington was going to be in this movie. He is always a welcome sight on the screen.

Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal are also here. Pascal and his soon to be teammate in the Fantastic Four, Joseph Quinn, are both here too.

I know there has been a lot of controversy over the hip hop music used in the trailer, but I do not think it would have bothered me had I not already heard the complaints before I watched the trailer.

I never would have thought that Gladiator would have a sequel made of it, and yet here we are with evidence that it actually does exist.

It is scheduled to be released on November 22, 2024.

Agatha All Along Teaser Trailer

The next Marvel Television program coming to Disney + will be Agatha All Along, a spin-off of WandaVision, the first Disney + Marvel TV show, featuring the character of Agatha Harkness, who is played the by awesome Kathryn Hahn.

This teaser trailer was a surprise this morning. I was on YouTube and I spotted Kristian Harloff doing a trailer reaction to this. I had no idea there was a trailer due to be released for Agatha All Along so I was very excited.

Kathryn Hahn was one of the best parts of, arguably, still the best Marvel TV show ever. Her witch was after the power of Wanda, in particular the power of the Scarlet Witch. Wanda left her in a mental prison as such, trapped within the world she had created.

Agatha All Along has gone through a ton of renaming over the time since its announcement including Coven of Chaos, Darkhold Diaries, House of Harkness, Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe or just Agatha. How much of this was Marvel trolling is unknown, but that Wardrobe title feels like a Marvel joke.

After seeing the trailer, I have to say that this was not anywhere near what I was expecting. It is scheduled to release in September, in time for Halloween, and there is no doubt that the Halloween vibe is what they were going for here. There were all kinds of creepy imagery in the trailer and it had a different feel to the manner in which it was filmed. The first scene of the trailer did not feel like Agatha at all and I would not have known this was Agatha if I just saw the opening of the trailer.

I expected more of a humorous vibe, but this is an interesting switch. It is a Marvel property so there will be humor in it, but the darker tone makes me very intrigued where this series is heading.

It will release with a double episode in September.

Deadpool & Wolverine trailer

Marvel Studios only has one movie coming out in 2024.

It is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Certainly, it is mine.

Deadpool & Wolverine dropped a new trailer today, the official trailer which followed the teaser from the Super Bowl.

They wanted to show immediately that this would not be Disney-fied. ere were F-bombs everywhere in this trailer.

Hugh Jackman looks incredible and they have an easy chemistry between Deadpool and Wolverine.

This looks absolutely epic and I can not wait for July.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Trailer 2

Huh.

Okay, I am always excited for Godzilla movies.

However, this trailer really made me question it.

I did not like this trailer very much. It felt kind of stupid. It showed a lot. And I was just not very impressed.

I hope that this is not the type of tone this film is going to take.

X-Men ’97 teaser trailer

Yeah, baby!

The animated X-Men is back, picking up directly after the original animated series ended back in the 1990s. Charles Xavier is dead, and the X-Men have to move on.

And it looks as if the X-Men are moving on, big time!

I like how the animation resembles the animation of the old show, but definitely improved. It has the same style, but looking much better.

And I am sorry, but that whole Wolverine/Gambit scene with Gambit charging the adamantium claws… I have perhaps never seen anything more epic.

Deadpool & Wolverine Super Bowl teaser trailer

It has been awhile since I have done a trailer post. There are several on the home page sure, but not many here. This one demands it.

Deadpool & Wolverine, also known as Deadpool 3, dropped during the Super Bowl on Sunday and it was a thing of beauty.

So many epic things including:

  • TVA
  • Logan as Patch
  • The 20th Century FOX sign
  • The whole cast of Deadpool and Deadpool 2 at a birthday party. (By the way, did I sense some issues between Wade and Vanessa in these scenes?)
  • 4th Wall break directed toward Disney.
  • Wade’s wig?
  • Pyro
  • Is Wade at the setting from the opening of Avengers: Age of Ultron or Logan?
  • Truly teasing Wolverine with an epic shadow
  • Amazing action during gun reloading
  • Official title: Deadpool & Wolverine

Absolutely loved this and I can not wait until July.

Echo trailer

Okay… who saw this coming.

The speculation on the series of Echo was that it was going to be a failure. All the signs were pointing at the possible fact that Echo was going to be a mess. It had been pushed to January. They plan on dropping all episodes at the same time, a first for any Disney + show. And the character of Echo was easily the worst part of the Hawkeye series.

So color me surprised when this trailer came out and it was fantastic. The story of the trailer was centered around the relationship between Echo and Wilson Fisk, who looks as brutal as he did during the Netflix Daredevil series. It was a thrilling trailer.

Before the trailer, I was planning on watching Echo but I was not anticipating it. After the trailer, I am excited about the series and hope that it is as good as the trailer. The trailer succeeded in making me more intrigued for Echo.

Trailers from Geek Buddies

I was watching the Geek Buddies on YouTube today, which is a podcast with John Rocha, Michael Vogel and Shannon McClung. During their weekly show, they typically talk about new trailers and so I figured I could add the trailers to this post.

Lisa Frankenstein

This looks kind of funny. It could be a fantastic film or a complete nightmare. Kathryn Newton leads the film.

Fargo Season 5

It has been awhile since I watched a season of Fargo. This trailer looks to have the oddball charm and bizarre feel of the best of this anthology series. By Nov. 21, Loki, Goosebumps will be done, maybe I’ll give this one a looksee.

Maestro Trailer 2

This is the Netflix movie, directed by Bradley Cooper, featuring the story of the relationship between icon Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein.

You should definitely give The Geek Buddies a try if you have not watched it before. John, Michael and Shannon have chemistry all over the place and they are always funny. They give some excellent opinions on geek culture and are always engaging.
