October 1

Happy Amazing Spider-Man #1000 week! It is a big week thanks to me picking up a huge chunk of the Amazing Spider-Man #1000 covers. I have 21 different covers of the book. I have a guess that this week’s EYG Favorite Comic Cover of the Week is going to be heavily arachnid based.

Also rans: A ton of Amazing Spider-Man covers, Uncanny X-Men #36, Hello Darkness #25 (two connecting Jenny Frison covers), Gambit Wanted #3, White Sky #6, Hillbilly: The Treason of Twelve-Toe Maggie #1, Conan the Barbarian #35, Operation: Iron Coffin #3 (B cover), and Bizarro: Year None #3 (C Cover),

Bronze Medalist

The Amazing Venom #1

So the first spot in the medalists is not an Amazing Spider-Man #1000, but it is Spider-Man adjacent book. The new Venom book with Boomerang and a symbiote has a beautiful negative-space-style design.

In a normal week, this one might have been in competition for a gold medal, but there are just too many options against this. I wanted to give this one a medal because it really is a lovely cover.

Silver Medalist

Here is the first medalist of the Amazing Spider-Man #1000. Again, there is white background, which I am a sucker for. I love the use of Spidey in the middle of the number 1000. The white spiders on the cover are great too. This is one of my favorite of the Spider-Man covers.

Gold Medalist

This is such a stunning cover and my favorite cover of the ton of ASM #1000 covers that I picked up over the last two days. The spiders all around Spidey is just tremendous. I love it.
