Floyd Smernitch (DTF St. Louis)

TV or Movie: DTF St. Louis (Netflix mini-series)

Actor: David Harbour

Time of Death: March 1, 2026; Episode 1 “Cornhole“

As I am researching the information for this post, I am being very cautious, because I have not yet finished DTF St. Louis, which I am watching for the Sunday Morning Sidewalk. I am, at this time, only through four episodes, but I have seen enough to place Floyd Smernitch on my list of deaths. Floyd is one of the best characters I have seen on a TV show for awhile and he is played with such humanity by David Harbour, who won an Emmy for the role. As Jason Bateman, who played Floyd’s friend Clark, said, Floyd was “wonderful.”
