Orin Scrivello, D.D.S. (Little Shop of Horrors)
TV or Movie: Little Shop of Horrors
Actor: Steve Martin
Time of Death: December 19, 1986
Cause of Death: suffocating while laughing by accidentally overdosing on nitrous oxide
Orin Scrivello, D.D.S. was one of the worst characters around, on purpose. The story needed someone to get chopped up and fed to a hungry plant, and Orin fit the bill perfectly. “The Dentist” is a highlight song in the Little Shop musical and Steve Martin brings the perfect level of ham to the role.
