Bob Newby (Stranger Things)

“It’s gonna be okay. Remember, Bob Newby, superhero.”

TV or Movie: Stranger Things

Actor: Sean Astin

Time of Death: Stranger Things; S2 E8 “Chapter Eight: The Mind Flayer“

Cause of Death: Mauled to death by a Demodog

One of the most tragic deaths in Stranger Things, I spent the season disliking Bob Newby and thinking that he was part of the overall conspiracy. Turned out, he was just a really great guy who wanted to love Joyce and give her family the best life he could. Then, his actual death came after he helped Joyce and Hopper and the others escape from the Hawkins National Laboratory.
