The White Lotus S2 E6, E7

Season two of The White Lotus wrapped up with these final two episodes, and I feel kind of empty.

Madame Butterfly died at the end.

The reveal of who the body was in the water was heartbreaking and several of these stories turned out tragic.

I never would have guessed that Tanya would have been the one who drown. Even more so… the plot surrounding her death was crazy, but, seemingly, not just paranoia. The worst part of everything was Greg gets away with all of Tanya’s money, and we never see him again. The whole Tanya and the Gays story was a heavy part of these last two episodes and had such a tragic twist at the end that it hit me like a punch in the gut.

Tanya’s death was not the only story that I thought ended sadly. The whole storyline with our two prostitutes was terrible. Lucia turned out to be scamming poor, naive Albie to get money… in the end 50,000 Euros. Albie thought it was to get her out from under a crazy Italian man, but that guy was just part of the scam, as we see in the final moments of the show. I feel disappointed in myself because I had started to come around on Lucia and Mia after spending the first part of this season disliking them quite a bit. I should have stuck to my opinions, but the show played me good.

There was so much toxicity in the relationships of Ethan and Harper and Daphne and Cameron that I had soured on that story already. Watching these four being so horrid was my least favorite storyline. Did Ethan and Daphne have a sexual encounter on the island? Did Cameron and Harper do more than what Harper confessed to? My one favorite part was Ethan going to nearly murder Cameron in the water. I would never see that guy again if I were Ethan, but that was not the implication that I got. However, Ethan and Harper seem to have gotten past their troubles and are, apparently, happy once again.

These last two episodes were extremely well done, but they did not go out of their way to give us a happy ending. Maybe in the end it will turn out okay for Albie and Portia, who reconnected at the airport (even though Portia had no idea about Tanya’s fate… or at least, only suspected).

There was a lot of things left ambiguous, which does not bother me. I have a good idea what happened. I just would have liked something more positive than the scamming hookers being the big winners.

The first episode of season three of The White Lotus is out and I will get that one done before the next episode Sunday night.

Dark Matter S1 E5

“Worldless”

Dark Matter’s fifth episode was another banger.

Between this, Silo and Hulu’s Paradise, sci-fi television is hot again.

Jason and Amanda moved through different universes, learning along the way about what they need to do to try and find their way to Jason’s original world. Meanwhile, they are encountering a variety of worlds where that world’s Jason had something tragic happen.

One world was filled with a deadly disease, and Jason found Daniela sick and dying, after they took away her Jason. Another world, Daniela and Charlie reacted to Jason in a terrible way because their Jason was supposed to be in prison.

As they met Blair, from Amanda’s reality, they learned more about the Box. Blair had gone through so much inside the Box that she simply could not go back into it at that moment. She could not face the differing universes and the stress that built on her inside the Box. She warned Amanda that she needed to know what she wanted for herself, instead of just following Jason.

meanwhile, Jason 2 has been moving in and out of the Box easily, including returning to his home universe to grab some more of the drug. He told Leighton that, after he leaves the reality, Jason planned on sealing the Box’s entrance, essentially preventing anyone from coming into the universe. He knew that Jason and Amanda had made it into the Box a few days before and he is looking to keep Jason from finding his way home.

Four more episodes to go for season one.

Once upon a  time there was a girl named Razzy with brown hair, long lashes and rosey cheeks who loved to make new friends and loved to play volleyball. It was her everyday thing to practice in her backyard and go to her games because she was on a travel team so she loved to practice a lot. Traveling teams are fun because you get to travel and see new things and meet new people and maybe go out to eat after, and also get cool colorful jerseys. 

One day she was at her volleyball game and her and her whole team was so happy because they won their game and her mom offered to take the whole team out to eat. Razzy and her volleyball team went out to eat at Chuck ‘E’ Cheese and were sitting down and eating pizza in a hurry so they could all go play some games and  get a lot of tickets so they could get cool toys with them when the lights went out. Everyone was in shock and couldn’t see anything and then the lights went back on. Everyone was confused why the lights went out for 20 sec and then went back on, but they ignored it and continued to eat their pizza so they could go play some fun games to get a lot of tickets.

Later that day when it got dark and they were done eating and playing games, they were all getting their prizes and saying ‘bye’ and  ‘thank you’ on their way out to the people who worked there, Razzy’s mom, and Chucky the mascot, and while Razzy’s mom was paying and then they were walking out the door, Chucky yelled, “Wait let me walk you guys out.” Jen thought he was just trying to be nice and said “okay”. As they walked out the door Chucky said “ I hope everyone had fun,” 

Razzy smiled and walked to the car. When they got to the car they were walking to the other side to get in and, as they opened the car door, Chucky quickly kicked a rock by the tire and grabbed a needle out of his pocket and popped the tire and it made a big *BOOM* and everyone jumped, even Chucky, as he went down to look at the tire. Jen went over to the other  side of the car to look at it and she said “Oh no, the rock popped my tire.” She looked stressed.

  Chucky said, “I can call someone for you if you would like?” 

Jen nodded and said “ that would be nice thank you” 

“ Of course,” Chucky said and walked inside and called someone to help her with her tire.

After the tire was done Chuck came to tell them bye while he waved and went back inside to close up. Razzy and her mom waved bye back and went home 

The next day Razzy woke up to her mom making pancakes,eggs, and bacon for breakfast so she hurried to her room to get ready really quick so she could go and eat breakfast. After getting ready, she sat down at the table ready to eat.  After she was done eating she went into her room to watch Tiktok on her phone for a little  but videos of Chucky kept coming up. She ignored it and was making a Tiktok video, and after she was going for a walk the all the sudden this random girl she didn’t know with long blond curly hair ,green eyes, and jeans on with a pretty white shirt that was whiter than milk, says, “ You’re the girl people are talking about aren’t you? Is your name Rozzy?” 

Rozzy was in shock because she didn’t know her.

 “Uhhh yeah? What do you mean? What are people talking about? And also do I know you? “

  “Oh yeah, sorry about that. My name is Sally and it was about just how you took your whole volleyball team after the accident there.” 

“What accident?” Razzy looked at her confused.

 “Well this girl our age and her mom were kidnaped by him and they found them in his basement. They weren’t hurt or anything but if they hadn’t gotten them out soon they didn’t know what would’ve happened. I don’t know if he would always try to keep them there for longer by doing stuff like hiding their car keys under the car or something like that when he saw them. And he just got out of jail” she is in shock while Sally said “Well gotta go bye,” 

Rozzy was thinking about how their tire popped that one time and ran home to tell her mom and her mom called the cops to tell them just to keep a lookout, and their    life went back to normal after that and never went there again. The end.

The White Lotus S1 E4, E5, E6

I finished off the first season of The White Lotus with some mixed feelings. The show is amazing, beautifully shot with gorgeous imagery of the Hawaiian Islands. However, the characters, while intriguing and deep as well as wonderfully acted, are just the worst people around.

Even those characters that I think we were meant to connect with as an audience are just the worst examples of people.

Armond is the perfect example. I am both sorry for and disgusted by Armond. He took so much grief and unnecessary strife, particularly from Shane, but he made so many choices that led to his own downfall. The scene of him pooping in Shane’s luggage was gruesome, shocking, and downright disturbing (albeit really funny). Of course, this “feud” with Shane sure seemed as if Shane came out on top and I am not sure how I felt about that. Shane was one of the biggest jerks on the show. Just losing his wife did not seem to be enough Karma for him.

Another character that we were meant to support was Paula, but she was every bit as bad as Olivia. She totally corrupted Kai which led his his arrest. That arc was anything but satisfying as that character was sacrificed to the show. I kind of expected Kai to have given the jewels he stole back, maybe anonymously, because he was better than that and had felt the regret of his actions. I guess not as Armond just said he was caught and that was all we got from him.

If there was one character who was worth rooting for, it was Belinda, who got royally screwed over by Tanya. The whole storyline with Tanya and Greg did not work much for me. He just blew in, had sex with Tanya, and told her he was sick. This was so out of nowhere, it felt out of place. Plus, it led to Tanya turning away from Belinda, whose heartbreak over the rejection of her business plan, a plan that Tanya encouraged in the first place, was crushing. Actor Natasha Rothwell did some wonderful acting in the final episode, keeping much of her own disappointment and ache inside and expressing it through her eyes and face.

There are seven episodes of season two also on MAX and I expect that I will be jumping into them soon. This first season was really well done and acted, creating some definitive feelings for these people. They just may not have been a happy feeling.

Girl in the Picture (2022)

January 31st is here and the 2025 Genre-ary comes to a close with a Netflix documentary called Girl in the Picture, which was based on the books A Beautiful Child and Finding Sharon by Matt Birkbeck.

According to IMDB, “A young mother’s mysterious death and her son’s subsequent kidnapping blow open a decades-long mystery about the woman’s true identity and the murderous federal fugitive at the center of it all.“

This was an excellent documentary covering the tragic story of a young girl named Sharon Marshall. Or at least, it was a young girl who was known as Sharon Johnson. She had been abducted as a child and then raised as the daughter of Franklin Delano Floyd, a kidnapper, murderer and sexual abuser.

Sharon suffered years of abuse at the hands of her “father.” He would use her to make money by making her strip and offering her for sex to other men.

The story also included a boy named Michael, who had been kidnapped by Floyd as well. The boy disappeared and the question about what had happened to Michael was part of the film.

One of the best things about this doc is that all of the mysteries surrounding these people are solved. A lot of times these docs do not have a sense of closure because mysteries are left unsolved. Here though, thankfully, everything is revealed.

It is such an emotional story of pain and loss, but it also gives a great story about how people can help by doing whatever you can.

Girl in the Picture is available on Netflix.

And with this, the 2025 Genre-ary comes to a close.

Todd! It was White Savior!

I was talking with Todd at Comic World tonight and I was joking about the old issue #3 curse. It seemed as if the independent series for a short while always missed #3 for me, and I tried to remember that book that Drew had taken home that was supposed to be mine. I couldn’t for the life of me think of the name of it. I kept thinking The Last… something. I knew it was a four issue series from Dark Horse, but I couldn’t place the title. Finally, on the way back home, the word WHITE popped in my head and then it was just a matter of moments before I got to White Savior. Strangely enough, it still did not feel right, but I checked the internet and it sure was. That was a real relief getting that off my mind.

Absolutely stunning. Despite dropping a pretty penny for this rare cover, I think it is worth it. I love Jaws and this cover captures the terror of the man-eater perfectly. Mark Spears makes history for our site. This is the first time that the same artist has all three medals in one week. It is also the first time that three covers of the same issue placed in the top three. We had Spider-Gwen place in two medal position once last year, but this is the first time for all three places. It is not quite February yet and I do not think anyone will be catching Mark Spears for the Cover Artist of the Year from EYG.

There’s Something Wrong with Aunt Diane (2011)

Today’ documentary for the Genre-ary was a doc from HBO MAX called There’s Something Wrong with Aunt Diane.

According to IMDB, this documentary looked at… “The accident made national headlines: a suburban mother drove the wrong way on the Taconic State Parkway in New York and crashed head-on into an SUV, killing herself and seven others. In the aftermath, Diane Schuler was portrayed as a reckless drunk and a mother who cracked. But was she the monster the public made her out to be…or the perfect wife and mother that many say she was? Investigating the case six months after the accident, this documentary searches for answers to a mysterious and senseless tragedy.”

This was an interesting documentary. The story of Diane Schuler was an odd one. It looked as if she had just been drunk and high and wound up in a tragic accident that killed eight people. Moat of the doc featured Diane’s husband, family and friends and their POV of the situation. They were all certain that there was no way that Diane could be a drunk who drove her car into another vehicle. They were all very determined that this was not possible.

The problem was that all of the evidence of the case pointed to Diane Schuler was drunk and high at the time of the accident. The family of Diane did not provide any possible evidence outside of their denials.

Through the entire documentary, it felt as if some piece of information was missing. The motivation of Diane is questionable. I do not understand why she may have been drinking vodka and smoking marijuana. There was a point of contention about a possible tooth that abscessed, but that did not feel like the overall answer.

There is also another weird event involving an investigator hired by the family who had Diane’s specimens retested, but never got back in touch with the family. This was a truly bizarre aspect of the story. Near the end, Diane’s sister spoke with the investigator who said that he had sent the results and that they were the same as the original one. This was strange.

Some of the images of the accident was just tough to watch. There was a warning at the beginning of the film, but they still caught me off guard.

There seems to be something missing in this story, and sadly, we will never know what it was. Such a tragedy that cost the lives of several humans, including four children.

Heaven is a Traffic Jam on the 405 (2016)

I found another Academy Award winning film to watch today for the Genre-ary. This won the Oscar for Best Documentary Short in 2018. The title had caught my attention at first as did some of the artwork that went with the promotion for Heaven is a Traffic Jam on the 405.

The short told the story of Mindy Alper, a 56-year old artist, who had spent years suffering from a variety of mental illnesses including acute anxiety, mental disorder and depression. She had been committed to mental institutions, spending around 10 years institutionalized. During that time, Mindy would receive electro shock therapy in an attempt to get past the mental states she was in.

She spent much of the time unable to speak and scared about everything in life. Much of the struggles could be traced back to a combative relationship with her father. The film does not come out and say it, but there are some implications about the relationship that might be the reason for many of the problems.

The doc short showed the progress Mindy had made and how her struggles with mental illness was something she would have to overcome on a daily basis. It showed how she used her art to really get some of the emotions out, giving them a place to go.

Some of the papier mache statues she had made, in particular one of her favorite psychiatrist, were absolutely stunning. I could not take my eyes off of these pieces of art. Her drawings were used to illustrate much of the doc as well. This art truly told a powerful story.

Mindy was a complete inspiration and, despite her life’s downfalls, she has found something that has allowed her to express her feelings.

I can see the reason why this was an Oscar winner.

Alex is Trying to Find Her Father

Alex is Trying to Find her Father

Alex is a 14 year old girl trying to find her father that’s been missing for 2 years.

 “Oh my god, I need to find my dad. He’s been gone for two years. I miss him.” 

She looks around her town, but doesn’t find him, and she’s starting to give up, but she keeps going for him. 

After two hours this young boy.

 “Hi my name’s Max, why do you look so stressed?” he asked.

 Alex says, “I’m trying to find my dad and I’m Alex” 

Max says, “I can help you Alex” 

Alex’s eyes light up, “You will!!!” 

Max laughs, “Yea, I will.  Let’s go look” 

Alex says, “Ok!!!” 

They start looking around the town and they walk all day through night talking.

Alex says “I’ll never find him.”

Max says, “Don’t give up. By the way, if you don’t mind,  how’d he go missing?” he asks looking confused

Alex says “I was sleeping and I woke up after I heard a scream. It was my dad and I went out of my room and saw him get dragged out of the house and I tried to help but I wasn’t fast enough since I was in shock and he was already in the trunk of the car.”

Max listens intently, really wanting to know and Alex feels safe around Max even if they only met a day ago. They care deeply about each other; they act like sibilings.

 Three days later

Alex and Max are still looking around. Alex is starting to lose hope. She really wants to find her dad but she doesn’t think she will

Max says, “Don’t worry, we will find him. I know it, just keep your head up.” 

Alex finds a little bit of hope in her heart 

Alex says, “Thanks Max even though we’ve  only known each other a few days, I feel like you’re my best friend.” 

Max smiles and they continue their search.  They search day and night. They don’t stop searching and Alex is determined to find her dad. Max really wants to help her find her dad so he sticks by his side.

Max says “I know we will find him Alex”

Alex hugs him tightly and Max hugs her back just as tight to give her a sense of comfort

Alex says “I’m so glad I found you”

Max says “Im glad too”

They stop hugging and start walking through the town trying to find Alex’s dad they keep going Alex and Max continue searching they aren’t gonna go down without a fight they continue going around the town going in abandoned building, houses, hospitals that kinda thing to see if he was tied up somewhere so they searched and searched but nothing was found 

Alex says, “I quit”

Max says, “No you aren’t; you got this, I believe in you”

Max tells Alex encouraging words to give her a little hope of finding her dad. They don’t stop. They just keep searching

Alex says with a slight smile “Ok I believe you Max.”

Max looks happy that she believes him so they keep walking and they don’t look back.

Alex says, “You are the best Max. I’m happy that you helped me try to find my dad. You’re the best person in my life” 

Max smiles widely at Alex’s words as they keep walking trying to find her dad and eventually they take a break and sit on a bench there legs cramping.

Alex says, “Oh my god my legs hurt so bad right now”

Max says, “Mine too

Alex eventually falls asleep and her head falls onto Max’s shoulder. Max lets her sleep; he falls asleep to his head gently resting on her head in the morning

Max wakes up first and he gently shakes Alex and Alex wakes up. 

Max says, “Good morning sleepyhead.”

Alex’s smiles and says, “Good morning Max”

And then they get up and stretch and then they continue their journey to find Alex dad.

They walk into this certain building that was abandoned 100 years ago and they hear someone breathing and they walk towards the noise and its ALEX’S DAD. 

Alex screams “DADDDDDD” 

Max looks at Alex run to her dad and he walks up to her dad and unties the ropes and takes the gag out 

Alex’s dad says “I’ve missed you so much sweetie,” 

Alex hugs her dad and Max smiles at them 

Alex says “I’ve missed you so much dad”

Two years later

Max and Alex started dating and Alex’s dad is healthy and happy.

All the kids came to see the new wolf soccer.

The wolf-mountain team players have been best friends since preschool.

Hey there fella my name is Dragow and I’ll name you tom and Bobby will name his Junior. 

“Hey Bobby, you want to play wolf soccer.”

 “Sure,” Bobby said, “Where is your pet wolf?”

 Boom, boom, boom aah, aah, aah, aah it’s pouring down rain, get in the truck.

“Whimper, whimper, whimper.

howl, howl howl,” the wolf whined.

“Let’s go home Tom.”

ruff, ruff, ruff. Let’s go home and play ball at home. Ruff, ruff, ruff.

 Bobby says to Junior, “Let’s go home. Junior growled at Bobby. 

  I know I don’t want to go home either in the stupid weather.

The  weather is dumb.

Raf, raf, raf Junior barked. yes I’m fine now Bobby said to Junior.  Now let’s go home and play some ball.

 Now the sun is shining, let’s play, let’s go outside!! Let’s go to the park and play wolf soccer!

We could invite some friends to come play with us.

 Bobby said to dragow. 

 I’ll be waiting for you to arrive so we can play wolf soccer and I brought a couple of friends with me so we can have a team.

 “Alright I did it so we can make more friends and let’s get this game started “ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff, and ruff”Junior and Tom barked.

 Let the games begin. Let’s do this, let’s beat the team.

and they are off running and playing wolf soccer.

Wolf soccer is the best game ever. 

The teams rounded up to make a plan to beat the other team. 

ok let’s beat the other team and win this game

We are going to finish this game.

sure  you are “ha!” “ha” “ha” Dragow said. 

Bobby said stop laughing Dragow kept laughing

we are going to beat you fair and square Dragow said no you aren’t Bobby said 

Yes we are.

No you’re not Bobby and Dragow argued back and forth

“You are just jealous that we are going to kick your butt.

”Bobby said 

Is someone jealous of our team?

 “I am not jealous,” Dragow yelled 

“yes you are,”

 “no i’m not.”

“I’m done arguing about this stupid conversation 

“Of course you are but  I’m done arguing because you know I am right,” Bobby said.”

I’m done with you, said dragow.

no!! I quit this game. Bobby said

Fine, I don’t care.

Okay fine, fine.

that person is a dummy anyway 

yes he is a “big” “fat” “dummy!”

We are going to win this game, win, win, win.

Let’s do this game.

Come on, “let’s finish this.

yes sure are you ready to rumble  ah let’s finish this bump, bump, bumm.

 Bobby couldn’t Construct because he felt bad about what he said to Dragow

okay let’s do this okay i’m ready so am I other teammates said 

Let’s beAT them okay let’s PUT OURSELVES IN game mode.

They are so bad that they can be KNOWN AS THE worst team ever. They can never beAT us IN A GAME SO LET’S NOT LOSE ONE NOW. 

“Your team needs to practice more ANYWAY DRAGOW TEAMMATE SAID. 

BOBBY RAN OFF TO SEE IF HE COULD FIND DRAGOW.

eVERYONE GOT MAD BECAUSE THE TWO LEADERS LEFT THE GAME.

bOBBY WAS WORRIED THAT dRAGOW WASN’T HIS FRIENDS ANYMORE

jUNIOR AND TOM WAS AT THE FIELD STILL AND WAITING FOR THEIR OWNERS TO RETURN. 

dRAGOW RAN INTO A FOREST SO NOBODY COULD FIND HIM.

hE GOT LOST HOPING SOMEONE CAN FIND HIM. bOBBY SEARCHED FOR HOURS AND HOURS AND STILL COULDN’T FIND HIS BEST FRIEND. dRAGOW KEPT CALLING OUT FOR HELP TRYING TO SEE IF ANYONE CAN HELP HIM. aNOTHER HOUR PASSED AND bOBBY FOUND dRAGOW oUT OF NOWHERE THEY HEARD ROAR.

dRAGOW AND bOBBY WAS SO SCARED THEY STARTED TO RUN OFF AND HOPEFULLY BE ABLE TO ESCAPE THE FOREST. BUT THEY RAN INTO THE WILD BLACK BEAR.

tHEY BOTH SCREAMED LIKE LITTLE GIRLS EVEN THOUGH THEIR NOT LITTLE GIRls. Tom and Junior heard their owners screaming for help.

The wolf ran as fast as they could. Dragow and Bobby were shaking in a corner because they were trapped in no way to escape the bear.

Then their pet wolf jumps on the bear’s back and attacks the black bear. The wolves got the bear down and scared the bear away.

So after the wolves scared the bear away they all exited the forest.

Dragow and Bobby were happy their pets saved them and after that they promised never to fight again in the end.

One morning, a family of triplets named Nikka, Nora, and Nova, were up super early. The triplets were getting ready for the ternimate they were supposed to be on that day. Nikka, Nova and Nora all played volleyball since they were in 3rd grade. They all had made it to the nationals and surprisingly going up against the team of the triplets middle school bullies, the Blackout Ravens. The Blackout Ravens were famous for being a very pretty and good team of players. But not only were they popular, the triplets were popular too! They’re name was the Fallout Angels. Known for being very flexible and elegant when it came to volleyball.

After getting ready, they all eat something then get in the car as they are off to the game. As they were on their way, Nikka started feeling nervous as the game wasn’t just a few people, but thousands. Nova comforted her and told her “as long as we stay together and follow the rules, everything will be okay”. Nora said “Most importantly we gotta have fun”. They finally arrived at the game.

The car ride there was filled with stress and fear of not winning. Nikka was getting very nervous as they made their way to the game. They all talked so that they could get thing soff their mind so they don’t panic during the game.

The triplets go into the gym and start warming up with bumping, setting, and spiking the ball on the court. Soon, The team Blackout Ravens arrive. As they walk in, they stare at the triplets with a muggy look on their faces. As they did that they started warming up. The triplets ignore them as all they care about is having fun and possibly winning the competition. They warm up for a bit as the alarm for them to start getting into their positions for the start of the game.

The first game starts. The triplets get the first serve and as Nikka serves, she hits the ball hard, getting past the net for the first round. As the ball gets pasted back and forth, the final hit was by Chloe, the leader of Blackout Ravens. The ball got passed back and forth for the rest of the rounds until the final round came. They finally settled around their teams but as they did the Fallout Angels noticed that the Blackout Ravens were cheating by talking with the coach and calling the Fallout Angels plays fouls even if they weren’t. The triplets made a plan to play so good that the audience would even notice it wasn’t a foul. Once they started playing all of the Fallout Angels played great and when the Blackout Ravens weren’t looking, Nikka spiked the ball and as the time went off, The Fallout Angels won. The coach looked at the other team with surprise and anger. The coach went over to the director of the game and started yelling because he was planning to make the other team win but the other team won, meaning he wouldn’t get the money he was offered. The game director kicked him out and told him he was banned from the games and was no longer allowed to be a coach. As the coach was kicked out, the other team came up to the winning team and tried taking the winning trophy.

As Chloe took the trophy, she slammed it against the ground and had a tantrum. She was kicked along with the other team players. As they were kicked, the fallout angels were put on the news and were asked if they had any tactics to winning the game. As all the reporters swarmed them, all the sisters said they came to have fun and play good. The reporters nodded and left as they got into their car.

Months went by since that game and the girls were ironically known for that one game since so much went down that day. The triplets lived in LA, playing many more games of volleyball and telling the story of that one game. The triplets went to many games after that and became famous and rich and started playing even more.  They lived in LA the rest of her life and had a great time doing it with all of them they loved volleyball since they where little an happy it became a hobby that they loved and cared so much about so they played for the rest of their life.

Dead Man Called Bob

Bob was an American football player for the Baltimore Ravens, he was an offensive lineman. Everyone in the city adored Bob because of his fame. Bob has a family, a wife, two daughters, and a son. He’s had a perfect life but it all came downhill one night after the Ravens were playing against the Packers.

Bob said

” What else could go wrong?”

Bob was driving home from the game when somebody shot his tires and shot Bob in the head. 

“Help me,” 

Bob said. Bob lay lifelessly on the ground while his soul left his body. Over time Bob’s family ended up moving houses just in the morning. Bob’s soul had stayed in his home. Somebody had moved into his home and Bob was not happy about it at all he was gonna do everything to get them out no matter what!

 Danielle

    Danielle had just found a home on White Street. It was a pretty decent home with a balcony, just what she had wanted. Danielle had a bad feeling about it, though. Right when she walked through the door, there was a breeze, as if it was windy, but the wind wasn’t even there. It was as if she had walked through a person, but that couldn’t happen, could it?   She had thought about it.

” No this can’t be happening, I must be dreaming,” she said.  

 That night when she was heading to bed, an awful smell came from the bedroom.

” Ugh what’s that disgusting smell, I’m about to gag,” she said. She also noticed that all her clocks stopped at 3:07 a.m.

Bob 

When Danielle had moved in, Bob had spread a terrible smell throughout the house, but, of course, it didn’t work.” 

She may not be reacting now, but she will later,”

 he said with a grin. Bob had tried scratching noises, but all that did was make her gasp. Later that night, Bob started pulling her legs and blanket, and she SCREAMED.  Then an idea hit Bob so hard that he almost had his pants fall off but ghosts don’t have pants, do they?  Bob’s idea was that when she had family coming over, he would create a scene in front of them and make it where her family doesn’t believe her at all and then possess her, and then her family will believe her but she will always be gone.

 “This is such a good idea.”He said

In reply 

“But this isn’t the Bob I know,” He replied.

Danielle,

“This house is so creepy”, she said “ Maybe I should ask Mama?” She replied. 

Danielle was going to ask her momma if she would come over to see what happened, but she didn’t know that Bob would make it and that nothing would happen while her mom was there. Danielle called her momma and said 

“s

       “ Momma, you need to come. I’m scared. Help me,” she said. “Okay, sweetie, I’ll come, but it better be worth my while.,    ” she said. Trust me, momma, it will.”

When Danielle’s mom got there nothing happened,

“Honey, nothing is bad here, it’s perfect.” She said,

“Mom, I swear I got pulled in the legs, scratched, and my hair pulled,” Danielle said. 

“Sweetheart, I believe you but, nothing’s happening,” Mom said

Bob, 

As soon as Danielle’s mom got there, Bob made it seem like nothing was wrong. It made it seem like nothing was wrong with that house. However, Bob didn’t want to possess her, only because that would take a lot of energy. Of course he wanted to get her out, but he’s running out of ideas. 

“ I really need to get her out without possessing her, hmmmm, maybe just keep trying to scare her out.” Bob said 

Bob had waited till her mother had left to start scaring her only then she couldn’t get her mother to believe her. If Danielle’s mother had seen what was going on and would have stayed.

 “ I need to try harder.” Bob had said

Bob had tried to start rattling her bed and shaking her bed to frighten her but nothing happened.

Danielle

        “ Nothing had happened when momma was here.” Danielle had said. 

Danielle had thought to herself “ Maybe I need to stand my ground?” Danielle said. If Danielle had stood her ground maybe whatever this was would stop. As soon as Danielle had got home from work she had started making signs that she was going to keep her ground. It had seemed like this spirit and knew what she was doing so he stopped kinda as soon as he got the message. 

BOB

Bob had noticed what she was trying to do so Bob got the message and gave up. Bob decided to give up. 

 “ I don’t even know why I had tried, I knew someone was going to end up moving in. I feel bad.” Bob said.

 Bob had decided to make himself shown and say he was sorry to Danielle and say why he did this to her. 

Danielle had gasped when she saw Bob and asked why he had been doing this to her. 

“Why are you doing this to me, what did I do to deserve this.” Danielle had asked 

“ I don’t know, I guess I had gotten mad when I saw someone had moved into my home. I am so sorry. I just didn’t want anyone moving into my home.”

“It’s okay, I understand how you feel, I would probably feel the same way if I saw somebody had moved into my home too.” Danielle had replied 

“But this is over right?.” Danielle had asked 

“Yes this is over, I’ll even tell you what, I will watch over you  and protect you.” Bob said

“What happened to you?” Danielle asked

 “Someone had shot me, leaving me where I was as I died and my soul came here when I had passed.” Bob said

“ Well I guess thank you for apologizing to me and have a good life Bob.” Danielle said

       “Mom, stop!“  Hannah said.

           “Not until you tell me what’s wrong,” said mom.

              “Dad till mom to Leave me alone my friends here“  sadi hannah 

           “Honey you need to tell us what is wrong “ said dad

        “ Nothing just leave me alone as she runs out of the room“   

                    “Let’s go Hannah says to Lily “ 

As they put on our boots and gloves and coats. running out of the house. If they go out to the barn where they’re horses are, Lily grabs her horse and Hannah grabs buddy. They start Galloping away and it starts to snow really hard so they say let’s head to the bridge. To get shelter as they are on our way to a bridge a big semi comes and They both have no clue what to do.But the semi can’t Stop it’s too icsy out. Bang the semi hits them the next thing Hannah knows is she sees red flashing lights coming towards her and her parents saying it will all be okay. As they are getting her into the ambulance she looks over and there’s her horse on the ground and her best friend covered up With  black tarp. She starts to cry as she realizes the reality. But  Lily’s horse  Alabama is still standing and that’s the last thing she sees before the ambulance doors close. 

The next time she wakes up she is in the hospital. Her mom and dad are There and they are crying. They start yelling for a nurse.Hannah hugs her mom and dad  and asks what happened to Buddy and her friend Lily. and they tell her they both passed. they were right in the middle. Hannah starts to ball. it’s all my fault and Her parents say no it’s not no one could have stopped it. They say she should get some rest but they want her to ride Lily’s horse Alabama when you get better. The doctors come in why Hannah is sleeping and say she has a broken neck, a broken foot and a sprained ankle.The doctor says she’s lucky to make it out alive it’s a miracle. if a few weeks go by and Hannah gets better and better. Soon she will be released from the hospital. 

The day she is released as they go home and the first thing she does is go out to the barn and sit in the Buddies Pastor. She starts to cry and says how much she misses him and her best friend. she runs back inside to her mom and says where is Alabama.    

Her mom said they had to take him to the horse trainer. He was really shaking up after  the accident. her mom said they’ll go see him tomorrow.

It is the next  day and they are getting Ready to go see Alabama. She is a Little nervous But when I get there they’re walking and see him.he is a Mess she has  one year  his face is all scratched up and he is not acting like himself.he is terrified and the horse trainer comes out and Says you can go in and pet and brush him.She goes in  like it is nothing but then he starts to act up so she gets scared and  back up. The horse trainer goes in and comes down. He’s still really shaken up. So they just work little by little each day.And he slowly starts to get better.
  Eventually she starts riding him. Then they did their first show to get there.And they placed a 3 which is really good and they start winning more and more until the finals and they are both nervous. they go over the first jump and clear it the second one they hit it but don’t knock it the third one they clear it the fourth one thing clear it the last one is a water jump which is really hard start canning up to it and he jumped it and makes it over at 45 seconds they win they win Nationals. Now they go on to win the championship and more competition.The end.

“You’ve been staring at number 27,” Nila and Nela says 

“Is that?” Nele says

“NEL!” Nila says

“NO!! It’s not him. Is it?” I say

“It is, girl,” Nela says

The cheerleaders returned to cheering. I was with my friends Nela and Nila at the football game. I’m not that popular, but I have a crush on Nel, the most popular guy, and number twenty-seven. 

I was sitting with the cheerleaders because Nila is the cheer captain. I looked at the ground, embarrassed, as the game started again, and my attention returned to Nel. The cheerleaders returned to cheering. After the game, I stayed seated, but Nela and Nila didn’t like that.

“Come on go talk to Nel~,” Nila says in a teasing tone

“No, I shouldn’t,” I say

“Come on,” Nela says in a whiny voice

I reluctantly get up, and they push me toward Nel. Then I see Tammy talking to Nel. Tammy is the most popular girl. Every guy has a crush on her, but she’s a big bully. She’s done so much to my friends and me. But Nel sees me as I try to turn around and walk away, and he comes over to me. I try to turn around and run, but Nel grabs my hand.

“Hey,” Nel says

“Hi’ i say flustered

“Come with me,” Nel says

“Fine,” I say.

Nel pulls me under the bleachers and leans against a pole for the bleachers.

“So……… there’s an after party……. Do you want to come with me?” Nel says as he lets go of my hand but hesitates like he doesn’t want to. 

“Me, come with you?” I mumble but Nel hears me 

“Yes, you Jena come with me,” he says itching the back of his neck

“Ok,” I say

“You’ll come!” Nel says

“Just one question,” I say

“What is it,” Nel says

“Did you invite me as a friend or?” I say

“Uuumm” Nel says “No not really, I guess,” he says unsure of himself

“Do I need to change?” I replied

“No, unless you want to,” he says

“I’ll be there,” I replied. I start to walk off

“See you there,” Nel says and I nod

“See you,” I say

Nel grabs my hand and says 

“Unless you want to catch a ride…. with me?” 

“If that’s ok with you,” I say, smiling and he takes my hand. We start walking to his car. He opens the door for me and I get in and I go to buckle but then Nel says. 

“Let me get that for you” as he takes the buckle and buckles it for me. Then he walks around to the driver’s seat and I see my friends watching. As I look at the floor embarrassed. Nel sees that I’m embarrassed and says

“Look at me” I look up as his eyes lock on mine, then I blush and look down again. Nel sees me blushing and says,

“You’re cute when you blush” I blush more. As Nel stops at the party and holds my chin and pulls my head up to look at him. Then I blush more. Nel asks

“Are you ok, princess” I blush again and he kisses my cheek then I blush more.

“Sorry I should have asked” I quickly stop him and say

“No!” I look down “Don’t apologize” The other football players see Nel and me and come over to his car and say

“You finally asked her, well you two do look good together,” number 10 says

“So what do you think of Nel here,” number 77 says.

“He’s a nice kind,” I say blushing “he sticks out on the field.” The guys chuckle as they realize Nel is blushing two and I  giggle a bit myself.  Nel seems embarrassed as he steps out of the car and opens the door for me I unbuckle and he holds my hand to help me get out of his car. The other players walk around us as we walk into the party. As we walk in there’s an announcement that says excitedly 

“The main couple is here!!!!!!!!!!!!”

My eyes widen as my face goes red. Nel squeezes my hand and looks at me worried. I cling to his side embarrassed. He wrapped his arms around my waist as if to protect me from the people whispering and staring.

“Hey, it’s ok,” Nel says 

I hid` my face in his chest. Tammy sees this and walks over.

“Baby, Nelie poo” she squeaks 

“Dont call me that ever,” nel says  

I snuggle closer, he pulls me away and Tammy gets mad as nel and I go over to the balcony where a full moon, bright stars, and constellations can be seen. As I’m leaning over the rales looking at the sky I turn to point at a star and nel has my favorite flowers daises and roses he clears his throat awkwardly.

“Will you be my girlfriend?” he says

I see Tammy scowling at me and I look back, I’m too shocked to speak and I just nod violently and hug him. After that Nel and I watched the sky for a long time then one of his friends came over.

“Hey, love birds,” his friend says “What are you two up to,”

Nel and I look over at him and shrug.

“The romantic dance for couples is next,” number 71 says

Nel and I get up walk in go on the dance floor and start dancing with the other couples. And he and I stand out because we both have on our clothes from the game. Everyone is looking at us as we dance to the music even Tammy is staring. I know tomorrow at school she will be mad and try something but I’m focusing on my footwork as nel and I dance. At the end of the song, everyone claps for nel and me. And I realize I’m popular now. And more popular than Tammy and she is mad because I found a bf before her and now is more popular than her. My friends Nela and Nila ran over asking a lot of questions.

“Is nel your bf now?” Nila says 

“Wait can you get us with some of his friends, please,” Nela says

“Hold up wait a couple of days maybe sometime this month,” I say kindly

Nel chuckles still holding my waist from dancing as I lean against his chest. After the party, Nel drives me home and as I get out he kisses my hand. Then I kissed his cheek two times. Then he walked me to my door and introduced himself to my family and my parents loved him and praised him. After he stayed for lunch he left and went to his house and I thought what will Tammy do to me tomorrow I thought before I went to sleep. In the morning after I was ready. Nel picks me up for school and carries me, the bride still kisses my cheeks and then blushes.

 I have blood cancer and I’ve had it since I was a baby. I’ve had treatments and I’m doing well right now. I have 3 amazing friends who have helped me this whole time. Currently, I’m at a basketball game that they dragged me to. I’ve always wanted to join but because of my blood cancer, I can’t I have no time and my body can’t handle it yet. I’m determined to overcome this and fulfill my dreams. 

“Rosa…” 

I won’t let anything stop me! 

“Rosa”

… from doing what I want or living my life the way I want to… not even my cancer! 

“Rosa!”

“Sorry Tom wait what happened”

“Oh, Rosa, when will you get out of your head? You can’t live in a dream world forever…”

That’s Tom. He’s one of my friends. Tom continued with his Lexshier for ten more minutes with no breaks. Tom has a short buzzcut and brown hair that he dies and lets grow out. By the end of the year, it’s so long it goes to his shoulder, and he repeats the process every year. It’s his look, you could say.

“HEY GUYS!!!”

That girl screaming and running over to me and Tom is my other friend Bella She is sweet and has short blond hair and she is the shortest in our friend group so we help her reach stuff all the time  

“Hey Bella,” I say

  “Hi Bella we saved you a sit. Rosa and I know you’re never on time. you know that’s a bad habit you should have come earlier you always come late to everything. Also, did you see Mary?” Tom says

“Oh no I sadly didn’t see Mary I thought she was with you guys,”

 Bella says as she sits down on the bleachers next to me and Tom.

A few minutes after when all 3 of us were watching the basketball game Mary scars Tom and sits down next to him.

“MARY!” Tom screams 

“Hehe hi, guys sorry I’m late,” 

Mary says as she snickers and looks at us. Mary loves scarring Tom and only Tom for some reason won’t tell us why. we’ve asked before and she only laughs at the question like we should know why already and it’s a silly question. Marry has long well-taken care of black hair almost like a horse she is cold and silly at the same time she is also smart and Marry is my bff she’s also the smartest in the class. As the others talk and mess around all I can think about is how badly I wish I could play too but all I can do is watch the basketball game. I suddenly felt like something was over me and as I looked up I saw it was Gavin, Becka, and Regina. then Gavin pours his water bottle on me and I hear Becka and Regina giggle as I run to the bathroom to clean myself off once I get into the bathroom shortly after Tom’ Bella and Mary follow. Tom sits outside the bathroom to keep watch for them again, but also because he’s a boy and can’t come in.

“Hey, are you ok?” Bella says

“…” I respond with nothing

“Rosa don’t let them get to you they’re losers,” says Mary

“How do you think I feel and does it look like I’m ok how do you expect me to just be fine with this and not let it get to me just leave!” I say in a fit of anger

 “Ok we’ll leave but when you’re ready we’ll be waiting outside the bathroom for you,” Mary says 

“Just leave now!” I say as Mary and Bella both leave. Mary has always been good with handly emotions and her own too she always knows what to do and how to help and Bella is the same way she helps by being there and with her bubbly personality. As I leave the bathroom I see that they are still here Tom, Mary, and Bella sitting outside the bathroom and waiting for me

“Hey I see you decided to come out,” Tom says happily

“Let’s forget about this bad day and all get home I’ll see you guys Monday,” Mary says

“Hey now let’s not end the day bad! let’s get some ice cream at the new place in town and then go home!” Bella says

“Bella I know you are trying to help but it’s best if we go home it’s already so late,” Mary says

“Ok let’s go home,” Tom says

As we all walk out of the school I can’t help but feel like I wish I never had to return. We all walk our separate ways to go home. “Hey Mom I’m back from the game where Dad,” I say

“Your dad’s in the living room dinner will be done soon” 

“Hey Dad I’m back”

“Oh hey there Rosa you snuck up on me,” Dad says

“I’m going up to my room I’m way to tired from watching the game”

  After that Monday the gang hung out one time after the basketball game.

I woke up and did my routine and as I was doing my makeup and about to leave for school my elbo hurt every time I moved then I felt like I couldn’t get up it was like I was too weak to move Mom came running into my room and then it goes black I open my eyes to a hospital room I’m used to them from the mounts ive spent in them and the doctor comes in and tells my mom that my blood cancer achaly got worse and not beter like they thought and i would have to leave school for a few days for testing and other stuff and someone from my school would have to bring me my work. The person I chose to get me my work was Mary she would come every Monday with the work for that week she always came after school at 4:30 like clockwork I was slowly falling behind in school I couldn’t keep up with all the testing the hospital was doing and schooling so my parents got me a tour and it was tom and then Bella came with both of them sometimes

I was starting to czech up on school becus of them but I didn’t start getting better

Soon i was stuck in my hospital bed and could only move arond a little Tom came to help tour me one time with Mary and Bella and we were working and then

“Hey Rosa where all worried about you,” Tom said out of the blue

 “Have the doctors said anything about you getting better soon?” Bella said

“No, they said it didn’t look like I was going to get any better”

“How long do you have,” Mary said

‘MARY!” Tom yelled

“Mary dont go asking those questions…” bellas said

“This is not something you can’t be cold about you can’t act like you did last time when we found out she got cancer”

“Bella stop”

“Huh?” Bella said

“I don’t have very long i only have 2 more days i was trying to hide it from you the doctors told me a week after I got in here that I didn’t have much time”

“Well lets make thous two days the best ever well bring you stuff from your hospodal bed and will do anything to make you happy one last time,” Mary said

By the time they were done, it was night so they all went home that same night I went to bed like usual and I never woke up again I was dead a ghost I saw what everyone did the next morning Mom was crying by me in bed and dad was also crying next to here and when tom Bella and mary saw me they all started to cry too many ran out the room and said it wasn’t real that it was all in her head and Bella ran after her and tom he froze up he didn’t know what to do he just cried 

“This isn’t real,” Mary said 

“Mary it’s ok let’s just go home first let’s get Tom,” Bella said

“This isnt fair they could have done more to save her we were all just talking last night she was fine we were going to go all do something to make her happy one last time,” Tom said

I wanted to hug him and tell him it was fine and just forget about me and keep living without me but I felt I was a ghost

“Let’s just go come on guys”

Later on, Mary became a schoolteacher

Tom became a doctor

And Bella became a scientists

And Mom and Dad lived out their life without me happy 

This was the good ending I wanted for them after my death but I wish I could be there for them still…
